My apologies.
I’ve been a bad blogger, tweeter etc. lately.
Right now I’m in a funk.
Buried under schoolwork, housework, the kids, finances and everything else I’ve found myself in this funk.
I’m constantly bitchy.
Yes, more than normal.
I’m very irritable.
I lack motivation.
My sex drive is almost non-existent.
I have zero ambition.
And I’m totally stressed out.
I’m also beginning to think that it might just be time to medicate myself since I cry at the drop of a hat.
Seriously, I can watch shows like L.A. Ink where Kat breaks up with Orbi and boom….I’m crying!
Yeah, so I probably depressed.
It is Winter and all.
I don’t get out of the house much.
I don’t have many friends outside of my computer these days.
I’ve become some what of a Hermit.
I miss being able to spend time with my husband and I hate that when I’m having a really shitty down in the dumps day that I take it out on him.
I hate sleeping alone 5 out of 7 nights a week.
I need a vacation.
Without the kids.
Just me and the Hardworking Hubby.
Before we go to New York in August because if I have to wait that long, I’m pretty sure I’m going to kill someone!
Anyone feel like taking on my 3 kids for 2 nights?

A couple weeks ago I signed up with Sponsored Tweets, a new program available through Izea. The concept of Sponsored Tweets is simply… get paid to send out tweets through Twitter. Since joining, I’ve had several opportunities come through, and have already made several hundreds of dollars. Here’s a bit more on the site and how you can make money too. View Sponsored Tweets
How does Sponsored Tweets work?
Everything about Sponsored Tweets is very simple and easy to setup. You create your account, and login with your same Twitter account info (through Twitter). Once your account is created, you just need to set how much you want to be paid per tweet, and then you wait for a new opportunity to come in. When you receive a new opportunity, you just need to approve or deny the tweet. Some advertisers write what they want you to say, but many leave that up to the tweeter. You submit the “tweet” for approved, and once approved, the money is deposit into your account.
Is this allowed by Twitter, and Ethical?
To answer the most important question, YES! This is allowed by Twitter! and Sponsored Tweets mentions this several times on their web site, as they have worked with Twitter through the process of making the site. As for being “ethical”, there is full disclosure. When a tweet is sent through Sponsored Tweets, it is seen on twitter as “sponsored by…“, “Ad“, or “brought to you by..“. It’s this full disclosure that keeps the tweeter, the advertiser and the reader all legit.
What does a “sponsored tweet” look like?
Depending on whether or not your advertisers provides an ad copy, your tweet can look like anything. Whatever you submit will be sent over to Sponsored Tweets for approval. Other than that, it will look like a regular tweet going out through your account. The only difference is that the url is through bit.ly and instead of being posted from “web” or “tweetdeck”, it says “from Sponsored Tweets“… as it should for full disclosure.

Is anyone making Money with Sponsored Tweets?
As mentioned, in just my first couple of weeks, I’ve made an extra few hundred bucks just for a few minutes of my time approving ads, and I have a fairly small twitter following. ShoeMoney also posted about how he has earned thousands from tweeting advertiser links independently and through Sponsored Tweets.
Who else is partnered with Sponsored Tweets?
There are actually a decent amount of big name tweeters already signed on with Sponsored Tweets. I haven’t seen a way to signup online (have to call) as an Advertiser to access a full list of tweeters available, but they do have the following “featured tweeters” listed in the login area. Some of these accounts (like Kim Kardashian) have over 2 million followers.
That’s a quick summary of what Sponsored Tweets is all about, and how it’s making money and driving leads through Twitter. It’s fairly new, and always great to get into a new revenue source on the bottom floor.
For those of you who have been reading my blog from the beginning, friended me on Facebook, Twitter or traveled over with me from my site The Play Date Maker, you are already aware of the loss of Madeline Spohr. If you are not aware, just Google her name and you will get one hell of a response or just pop on over the The Play Date Maker and check out the For Maddie page.
Ok, now that you are up to speed let me tell you about the good that has come from the loss of Maddie. Maddie’s parents, Mike & Heather Spohr, recently started a non-profit organization called Friends of Maddie that supports families of critically ill babies by easing the transition into NICU life and providing an ally until the end of their child’s hospital stay. (Yes, I copied that line directly from Heather Spohr’s site The Spohr’s are Multiplying but am giving credit to her!)
To me, this is a great service that so many families need to help them through this hard time. Now, I was lucky enough to have had 3 healthy children born without and issues and avoided the NICU. However, there have been children throughout my family over the years who have been in the NICU and some that were never lucky enough to leave the NICU. As many of you have read in my past posts, my cousin Anna’s little brother Ben was recently born with Hypo-plastic Left Heart Syndrome or HLHS. He is still in the NICU at the Children’s Hospital and at this time they are not sure when he will be released.
I have always been a supporter of the March of Dimes and have always donated when I was able. I am now supporting the Friends of Maddie NPO too and am glad to say that I have already made a donation and I hope that you will to.
Please take a moment to look over the Friends of Maddie website and learn more about this great organization. If you are able to, please make a donation and know that it is going to a help a family who is currently facing one of the hardest things they will ever face.
Thank you!
Ahhhh…….after 10 days of being home Zman and the Drama Queen have returned to school. Spring Break is officially over! (But of course….they have a half day a week from today and they both get to leave school early 1 day this week to see the dentist)!
Now you’re probably asking yourself what have I done to enjoy my day now that they are back @ school….lets see:
1.Slept in until 9am (Hardworking Hubby was nice enough to allow this)!
2.Tweeted on Twitter
3.Googled on Google
4. Read the paper online
5. Got Tatertot out of his crib after his morning nap
6. Changed diaper
7. Filled sippy cup
8. Got Tatertot some Cheerio’s
9. Watch an old school Sesame Street Sing A Long (on VHS) with Tatertot
10. Put dinner in the crock-pot
11.Worked on my blog for a little bit
12. Made lunch for Tatertot and fed him
13. Changed Tatertot’s diaper….AGAIN!
14. Put Tatertot down for his afternoon nap
15. Sat down at desk to enjoy total peace and quiet!
Ahhhhhhhhhhhhh………….
I am enjoying the quiet while I can. It will be very short lived as I’m sure Tatertot will be up in about an hour and than an hour later kids will start spilling in the door and it will be back to the daily grind.
- Hang your jacket up!
- Is that where your shoes belong?
- Do you have any homework?
- I don’t care if it’s not due until Friday, you’re getting it done now!!
- Sit down and get it done!
- No…you have to wait until dinner!
- I told you to sit down and get it done!!
- Sit back down and get to work!
- You keep this up you won’t be doing anything after school tomorrow!
- Now was that soooo hard??
- Did you do your chores?
- Yes, you can play outside but now you only have 10 minutes until dinner is ready because you wasted 2.5 hours trying to get out of doing your homework!
So…….I’m just sitting here, enjoying my last 2 hours of quiet until the real chaos begins!
