I know.
I haven’t been around lately.
No, I didn’t forget about you.
I’m simply in a class that is seriously kicking my ass and taking names.
Fundamentals of Programming with Algorithms and Logic.
Yeah.
Sounds like boat loads of fun doesn’t it.
Ummm….
It’s not.
It’s anything but fun.
Needless to say I’ve been spending A LOT of time trying to understand it all and less time here.
I am hoping that when my textbook (that I ordered because the online version we are given doesn’t help) arrives that I will be able to understand things better.
Because really if I have to be in this class for another 7 weeks ( 9 if you add the 2 weeks I have off for Winter break), I am seriously going to lose my mind.
So, the book should be here this week.
I’m hoping it arrives tomorrow.
Because yes, I admit it, I am lost right now.
But.
I am not alone.
There are others in my class who are just as lost as I am.
So at least I don’t feel totally stupid.
On another note,
Our family of 5 managed to survive 3 (yes, 3!) Thanksgiving dinners and there was minimal drama. (Read: I am sick of everyone thinking I am unable to succeed at anything in life because I have taken a different life path then them but guess what, you can suck a big fat one because when I do finish school and have my degree you will not be able to mock me anymore!)
Phew.
Yea.
Family drama.
That was the most we saw of it.
We somehow managed to miss out on what appears to have been (from what we heard) a wicked awesome family falling out at one of the other holiday festivities.
I, needless to say, was disappointed that I wasn’t there to witness it.
Sometimes, yes—sometimes, I enjoy a little family drama.
It makes for more interesting holidays and family functions.
Other then that, there hasn’t been much going on.
I didn’t participate in Black Friday events this year due to the lack of cash but the Hardworking Hubby did sit outside of Best Buy from 12:30am until they opened and secured some items his mother needed and then lurked around the store for 2 hours until she was finally able to get there and pay for everything.
This week I am looking forward to getting ready for Christmas since for some strange reason I am ACTUALLY looking forward to it this year. The kids have lots going on all week and on Friday we plan on getting our Christmas tree, putting it up and decorating it. Saturday there is a babysitter all lined up and plans made to go out and celebrate my birthday ( 10 days early) since it’s the only free weekend we have.
I’m really excited that I will be attending my first blog event with a great Twitter/Blog friend Stacie on the 11th and we will finally be friends IRL!
So, that’s what has been going on in a nutshell.
I have also been writing more and will be posting some more Tales of My Shady Past soon.

Oh man those algorithms are a pain in the rump. They can be a little fun once you get use to them. I am not sure I remember very much. Are you taking the classes from NWTC? One of the teachers there is a total ass towards women in that field. I might have some books lying around that will help you and your welcome to them. If you want them. Other wise they will collect dust in the basement. LOL
You go and show em up girl! You can do it and once you have your degree you and we will all be proud of you!!
I am so looking forward to the blogging event. I am kinda wishing the week would fly by!! LOL I know I am so bad!! Not that I want to rush time or anything I an just really looking forward to it. And for me I am CHILD FREE!! It’s a break for me and I am looking forward to the fun!!!

I am looking forward to next weekend and am thrilled about being child free and out with another mom!
