This post is a little different from the things I normally talk about.  I am so used to writing about my kids, husband, other family members and school stuff.  However after reading the newspaper this week and seeing a few articles I wanted to write a few words on how unfair I think the world is.  What set this off was an article about a 24 year old mother and her 17 month old son dying in a car accident in Northern Illinois.  What made this article so unfair to me was this woman had a 17 month old son who died along with her and left 2 other children behind and the accident was her fault.  She was drinking while driving.  Yes, you heard me correctly, she was consuming alcohol while she was driving with her 17 month old son in the car and had a blood alcohol level almost 3 times the legal limit!

What is so unfair to me is that this woman was blessed with 3 children which in my eyes, she didn’t deserve to have.  Then there are people like Heather & Mike who are blessed with one child whom they give the world to, do everything they can to care for her, love her and provide for her and yet their child was taken away from them along with all of the other parents who have lost a child due to health or other unpreventable circumstances.

I think it is unfair that people like this have children when so many others can’t.

I think it is unfair to have a child if you are not going to protect that child.

I think it is unfair to give life to a child if you can not care for them.

I think it is unfair that so many parents lost their children due to health issues when so many other parents have children they don’t see or take care of.
